Microsoft  excel 2016 is a full featured spreadsheet application which is use for a wide variety of purposes from quick calculations to report charts to sophisticated analyses of complex data with many if conditions.

Basic unit of excel is worksheet, a grid of cells in which data is enter

Each worksheet consist of 256 columns and 65536 rows.

Cell

The intersection of each row and column is a cell.

Each worksheet contains 16,6777,216.

Column

Columns have specific information of any item. The Columns is designated by letters: A to Z for the first 26 columns, AA to AZ for the next 26 columns, then BA to BZ and so on. The last column is IV.

Row

Row have available complete information.

The rows are numbered form 1 to 65536.

The cells are  designated by the row and column.

The first cell on a worksheet is cell A1, and last cell is IV 65536. This designation is called the cell address.

Excel can also use the R1C1 reference format, which uses the letter R and a number indicate the row and letter C and a number to indicate the column.

Excel saves worksheets in workbook files. Workbook files use the ms excel worksheet file format.

Formula

A formula is a set of instructions for performing a calculation.

Excel enables you to create a very wide range of formulas for performing whatever types of calculations.

Excel uses arithmetic operators, logical operators, reference operator and one text operator.
